MAXOFLEX® – High-Incline Conveyor Belts with Corrugated Sidewalls and Cleats

The technically sophisticated Mayoflex conveyor belts can be used to transport all types of bulk material at inclines of up to 90°.

Maxoflex conveyor belts are available in varying types: oil-, grease and heat-resistant as well as flame-retardant and with textile or steel-cord tensile members.

Belts with corrugated sidewalls are offered in three categories: light (M), heavy (MWS) and extra heavy with fabric reinforcement (MWSF). Diversely shaped cleats are available: in straight, angulate and fabric-reinforced form as well as with separate base.

The distinguishing features of the basic Maxoflex belt are an extra-high degree of traverse stability combined with good longitudinal flexibility. The spacing of the cleats can be varied to suit individual application needs.

The Sicon belt is a conveyor belt capable of negotiating small-radius curves. This renders transfer points superfluous. The belt is closed from the feeding point to the discharge point. What is more, the belt is closed on the return side as well to help minimize dust and spillage problems.

The Sicon belt is an ingenious development. Its distinctive feature is that it folds to form a loop. The ends of the belt have profiles with steel cords vulcanized in. These assist in keeping the belt on track by means of guide and support rollers. The belt's working stress is borne by steel cords. The central section of the belt, which supports the weight of the material conveyed, is made of ultra-elastic rubber. In this system, the steel cords are arranged in a vertical axis on top of one another. This ensures that they retain the same radius even in curves of up to 180°.

For filtration purposes ContiTech vacuum filter belts form a continuously revolving trough for placement of a filter cloth and the suspension. It is also capable of being employed for water, lye or acid baths. While the suspension is conveyed its fluid content passes through the filter cloth into the belt’s traverse grooves. The filtrate is drained off via a longitudinally positioned vacuum box and a defined belt perforation. The predried filter cake is shed on the bend pulley.

RopeCon® system combines the advantages of tried-and-tested ropeway technology with that of conventional conveyor belts.

The new kind of long-distance conveyor belt from ContiTech is basically a belt with sidewalls and integrated sets of wheels that travel on guyed carrier cables which are guided over supports. In this way, the system is lifted above the ground, requiring just a minimum of space. This presents significant benefits. "For instance, obstacles such as houses, roads or rivers can be crossed without a problem. Nearly all traveling parts return to the station, where they can be repaired and maintained easily and, above all, cost-effectively," explains Dr. Gensigora.

Furthermore, the material is at full rest, which has proven to be highly advantageous in view of the bulk material characteristics. After the material as been unloaded, the belt is turned, running through a special device so that the dirty side once again faces up and no remnant material or dust can fall off.
